Director of ICRC– Alexia Georgakopoulos, Ph.D., a world-recognized mediator, negotiator, facilitator, conflict resolution systems designer, professor, notable speaker, and author who has appeared on NBC’s TODAY SHOW. With 25 years as a pioneer and leader in the field, and is a Professor in the esteemed Department of Conflict Resolution Studies (DCRS) at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), which is one of the earliest pioneer programs and largest leading conflict studies programs around the globe that has trained thousands of students. She has been a leading educator and visionary in the conflict resolution field.  She brings rare depth and credibility to both ICRC’s trainings and services, including as the editor of the most contemporary Handbook of Mediation: Research, Theory, and Practice published by Routledge Publishing, and numerous chapters and articles that have helped shape the profession. She also works as an international peacebuilder including work with leading peacebuilders in the Middle East Initiative Group, work with Mediators Beyond Borders, and delivers conflict transformation training to Ukrainians.

Alexia Georgakopoulos, Ph.D., is the Director of ICRC and she is the Primary Trainer who conducts and presents trainings. She is a professor, practitioner, and world class expert in conflict resolution and communication with two decades of work in the fields.
